As the name suggests, the drink is simply a ‘turned up’ classic Margarita that is guaranteed to make a long, boring day feel like a refreshing breeze!
The recipe is simple (and a little scientific). Whether you are a skilled mixologist or just someone trying to make a decent cocktail, this is worth trying out!
But before the recipe, let’s get down to the science behind it!
One interesting fact to note about this cocktail is that it somehow defies some laws of nature, like gravity. Naturally, when you pour into a glass full of liquid, the content in the glass overflows. But not the Coronarita!
How is this possible? It all has to do with pressure!
In a Coronarita, as you will find out soon, the liquid surrounding the opening of the Corona bottle prevents air from entering the bottle. Therefore, the air that is inside the bottle creates pressure that keeps the content of the glass from spilling out. So when you sip on the Margarita with a straw, its level in the glass is displaced by the same amount of Corona flowing from the bottle to make up for the sipped portion. This is conditional to whether the Corona is placed right!

How to Make a Coronarita Cocktail.
Ingredients:
- Corona Extra
- Tequila
- Triple sec
- Lime
- Ice cubes
How to:
- Place the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker.
- In the cocktail shaker with ice cubes, pour in the tequila, triple sec, and lime sour mix.
- Give the mixture a good shake.
- Strain into a salted pint glass.
- Now here comes the tricky part: quickly flip the beer upside down and place it into the drink, so it dispenses slowly as you sip using a straw.
