At Oaks and Corks, we pride ourselves in expanding your drinking palate. So we are introducing #NewDrinkTuesdays, a day to discover all kinds of drinks, from the best wines, gins in collectable bottles, and spirits with queer ingredients to the best selection of whisky from all over the world.
This week, we feature one from the mother land!
Name
Unit 43
Type
Gin
Taste
After two years of experimentation with over 200 recipes using local ingredients, copper distilled Unit 43 Gin was born. It is smooth, balanced and local in its ingredients. On the nose, you will get a hint of the spicy citrus notes from the coriander seeds as well as the grains of paradise. With every sip, your palate will get to enjoy a burst of lavender and liquorice flavours, followed by a short citrus taste. An aftertaste of the five crisp Fynbos varieties then finely lingers on the tongue.
