About This Wine
This is one of those slightly old fashioned but still extremely drinkable blends that usually represent good value. Minimum of 60 months maturation, of which at least 18 months are spent in French and American oak barrels with a maximum capacity of 225 liters. This gives loads of coconuty, vanilla gloss and spice over tight, black Tempranillo fruit. Pretty dry on the palate (arguably drying out slightly) but do not be put off: there is sweetness of fruit here and lots of pleasure to be had.
