Aberlour has a deep, reddish hue from new sherry wood. It is an expression with a nutty, Christmas-cake character and a creamy, buttery texture.
Its nose is of buttery cinnamon toast. Along with it are raisin notes in the background. Astringent woody touches, glacé cherry, and barrel char are evident. The palate is with a big sweet butter hit. Present notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, nutmeg, plump raisins, milk chocolate, along with more of the char from the nose. It has a medium length finish. There are lingering notes of chocolate, raisins, and more char.
Aberlour is more popular in France and is one of the bestselling malts in the world.[vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/OtAh4ka_M5g” align=”center”]
