The Mimosa Cocktail, invented in 1925 by Frank Meier, is one of the popular ones out there. You have probably seen it served at bridal showers, weddings and even as part of first class treatment by some airlines.
Making this type of cocktail is as simple as combining equal amounts of Champaign and orange juice. You can however get creative with your recipe and make its variations using any of the methods below:
Method 1:
Orange Juice + Champaign (The Classic).
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Champaign (you’ll only need about half a glass of this).
- Orange juice.
- Orange wedge to garnish.
How to:
- Serve the Champaign half-way full in a Champaign flute.
- Fill the remaining half with orange juice.
- Garnish with lemon wedge.
Method 2:
Champaign + Orange Juice + Triple Sec
You can call it the turned-up mimosa.
Ingredients:
- Orange juice.
- Triple Sec
- Champaign
How to:
- Serve the Champaign half-way full in a Champaign flute.
- Fill the remaining half with equal parts of orange juice and triple sec.
Method 3:
Champaign + Orange Juice + Blueberries.
Ingredients:
- Champaign
- Blueberries
- Peach schnapps
- Orange juice
How to:
- Serve the Champaign half-way full in a Champaign flute.
- Add equal amounts of orange juice and peach Schnapps
- Drop in some blueberry seeds.
Method 4:
Champaign + Tomato Juice (Bloody Mary)
Ingredients:
- Champaign
- Tomato juice.
- Celery stick to garnish
How to:
- Salt the glass rim with sweet & spicy seasoning.
- Serve the Champaign half-way into the glass.
- Fill the remaining half with tomato juice.
- Garnish with a celery stick.
