A premium golden sensational 8 year old rum from the Bacardi range. This blend is curated from a variety of rums aged between 8 and 16 years giving the blend a smoother, richer profile. The nose is fresh and perfumed with notes of oak, peels and a little syrup. The palate is rich and refined with complex flavors of tropical fruits, peels and winter spice. This rum is more than suitable for sipping neat, but also incredibly good for using in cocktails and mixed drinks.

About The Bacardi 8 Years

Made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums, each aged a minimum of 8 years in American white oak barrels results in a flavourful blend. Treat yourself to the enticing butterscotch, caramel and sweet spice aromas and flavours which are complemented by a rich creamy palate and a smooth finish.

Appearance

Clear and coppery with a bright golden color. 

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Ripe apricot, boatyard varnish, buttery oak/cedar, cigar box lining, banana leaf, caramel, orange marmalade, chocolate, and espresso coffee. 

Palate: Medium bodied. Apricot marmalade, buttery oak, zesty orange, and gingerbread with mocha coffee. Prune rich fruitcake, overripe banana, butterscotch, vanilla and nutmeg spice. 

Overall: Elegant with sweet orange marmalade, apricot jam and rich vanilla balancing dry buttery oak, dark chocolate and nutmeg spice.
