The elegant Calvet Merlot has a brilliant cranberry red color displaying a beautiful cherry fruit expression. The nose is clean with a full ripe aroma of red berries, black cherries and spice. The palate entrance is subtle opening up to a dry tannin impression and just enough acidity to cut the sweetness of the fruits. The combination of fruit sweetness, acidity and the roundness of the tannins create an excellent balance of the different components. Best served with classic food pairings like sweet and sour pork, tandoori chicken and mild cheeses.
