Glenfiddich Project XX 700ml

The Glenfiddich Experimental series pushes whisky boundaries and challanges traditions.

Brian Kinsman, our malt master, conducted one of the most exciting malt experiments in Glenfiddich’s 130-year history, shrouded in secrecy (its codename was XX, pronounced twenty), he invited 20 whisky experts from 16 countries to the Glenfiddich Distillery. Brian gave each of these experts complete freedom to explore the warehouse and choose any single cask of Glenfiddich whisky that intrigued them the most.

The final 20 chosen casks represent some of the most astonishing whiskies under our care. In Brian’s words,

“I wanted to create an unexpected whisky, traditionally every malt whisky is chosen and vatted by one malt master to their taste, but I wanted to experiment and marry 20 totally unusual Glenfiddich malts together”.

This unique whisky is a recreation of that extraordinary initial small vatting.
