Miraval Studio Rosé – the well balanced and vibrant wine, perfect for summer evenings, is a tribute to the mythical Studio Miraval hosted in the walls of Château Miraval – a wine producer in the southern French region of Provence. The producer isn’t just known for the intense, flinty rosé wines made from Grenache and Cinsaut, but more because of its owners – Hollywood stars, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
For the Miraval Studio Rosé, grapes are harvested from various areas around Sothern France, some 1,200 feet above sea level.
‘Studio’ by Miraval is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Tibouren. The vineyards are situated along the French Riviera, stretching from the mouth of the Rhône river to the gates of Monaco. The proximity to the Mediterranean Sea brings warm temperatures, which are tempered by the Mistral wind, providing excellent conditions for the grapes to ripen and retain acidity.
Château Miraval is located in the Provence village of Correns, the first 100% organic village in France. All of the crops, including grapes, are grown organically in this wild and picturesque town. Tucked away in its own private valley, the Château is surrounded by ancient woodlands and olive groves. In 2012, owners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie partnered with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel fame, who oversee wine production at the estate. Their continued dedication to improving quality in both the vineyards and the cellar, have seen the wines go from strength to strength, with Château Miraval today considered one of the great names of Provence.
