Tasting Notes
Colour: Ice Imperial comes pours a lemon-yellow color, with an abudance of gold hues making it look quite lively. Slight amber color, it has a rather intense color for a non-vintage cuvee, suggesting that the wine has been in contact with oak.
Nose: An intense presence of sweet oaky aromas, hazelnut, and a touch of vanilla. More importantly, the aromatic profile is dominated by ripe citrus notes, orange, sweet lemon and orange peel. It smells sweet and round, with an elegant depth from the sweet spices smokiness. Very fruity and tempting.
Palate: Very generous and round palate. Provides a huge burst of fruity flavors, fresh grapes, ripe lemon and blond raisin. Light flavored honey notes. All these fruity characters are coated in subtle sweet spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and Szechuan pepper. Clearly a ton of tropical fruit notes live here as well as pineapple and litchi especially.
